Lots of "News" so lets get to it. I have changed the look of this page because I wanted to add some pictures with the news so I chose this format, I hope it works out well. The image below is of a Gourd that I have transformed. I entered this gourd into a contest by the "American Gourd Society" and this entry tied for third place. The inside of this gourd has been thoroughly cleaned, padded and lined with a faux white leather. A rainbow of colorful flower beads dangle on the inside. I am hoping that this summer I will be able to start some new gourd projects.

I have created many new lamps and will try to get them listed ASAP. I would like to get the pictures taken and ready for the web sometime next week. |

All of my large lamps shown in these pictures have been sold, and I am in the process of making more and they should be ready for the fall festivals. |
That's about it for now. Thank you for taking the time to check out my web-site please check back soon and often to see all of the new items.
Thought I would share with you two of my recent projects. I used a large 14 inch flower pot for the first lamp and hand painted the tropical backgroud as well at the parrots. I was lucky enough to find a fabric with the same theme and was able to create the matching shade. Below you will also see another lamp I made using a gourd for the shade. I cut and cleaned a nice sized gourd then cut butterfly silouhetts so that light could shine through. I also used a wood burning tool to burn butterflies onto the surface that was then stained to give it the look of a wood finish. I found the perfect wood base to compliment the shade after it was stained using the same process as I did on the gourd. Both of these lamps have been sold and I am currently working on another parrot lamp and hope to complete more gourd lamps as well.
